    "Artground" magazine was first established as an art/music/film zine in Townsville circa November 2007 by Nathan Roche and Clinton Searston. Slowly but surely it evolved into a "just-as-un-professional" independant record label featuring local bands which included The Middle East, Sleeping In Trains, Joseph Liddy & The Skeleton Horse, Dragging Pianos and Marf Loth . However since then TME have deservingly gone onto a major label, Sleeping In Trains have unfortunately dis-abandoned and Joseph Liddy & The Skeleton Horse are now selling out on Outer Records. All that remains thus far are Dragging Pianos, Marf Loth, Alligator Creek/Cahill Finbarr Kelly and Michael S. Galloway who will continue to write and release music forever and ever. The label exists as a documentation and distribution of friends in the North Queensland Music Scene and the creative and diverse sounds that were created in that period of time.
