Started playing folk music back in the '70s in York, and then wandered somewhat aimlessly round the country (taking in Lincoln, Cardiff, various towns in Sussex and so on) before settling for twenty five years on the Wirral and finally winding up in Macclesfield.
Played every kind of music from Irish to Cajun & Zydeco, and played in and called the dances for ceilidh & barn dance bands, playing anything from piano and fiddle to accordions of various shapes and sizes, as well as writing songs and singing round a quantity of folk clubs. Sometimes even the same venue twice.
Thanks Arthur for your friendship. Please feel free to make a comment about Chris or send me any anecdotal stuff to make this site a fitting tribute to Chris, his music and friendships. regards Peter R
Hi Arthur Good to see you on myspace. Can't wait to hear you play that 120 bass, one day. Also, looking forward to hearing your song about inattentive ceilidh dancers!
