Nato ad Indianapolis, Arthur Miles vanta una consolidata carriera nel mondo della musica internazionale. Inizia la sua esperienza nella musica giovanissimo a Los Angeles, respirando le calde atmosfere dello zio, il grande chitarrista jazz Wes Montgomery, e dove l’attività del padre, titolare del Night Club più famoso dell’epoca “Arthur’s”, gli permette di osservare, imparare e collaborare con i più famosi musicisti blues, jazz e soul del momento. E’ stato in tourné in tutto il mondo, sia come artista protagonista, sia come vocalist e collaboratore di grandi nomi della musica internazionale come, Edwin Starr, Josè Feliciano, Gloria Gaynor, Big Joe Turner, Johnny Otis e molti altri. Dal suo arrivo in Italia è stato protagonista di grandi eventi collaborando con aziende internazionali, enti ed associazioni a livello nazionale ed artisti Italiani protagonisti della tv, radio e dello spettacolo a 360°. La collaborazione più significativa rimane quella con Zucchero Fornaciari. Insieme a lui incide grandi successi da “Blues”, “Oro Incenso & Birra”, “Spirito DiVino”, “Shake”, “Un Diavolo in Me”, “Senza una Donna”, “Hey man”, “Baila”, “Ahum”. In questa veste appare nei programmi televisivi più importanti quali ad esempio “Festivalbar”, “Domenica In”, “Nonsolomoda” e “Cantagiro”. In qualità di Blues-Man si possono citare le partecipazioni al Carnevale di Venezia all’Umbria Jazz Festival oltre agli LP “Arthur Miles Faces The Blues” e “Arthur Miles & The Blues Shakers - Live At The Scimmie” e “Living the Blues”. La grande versatilità di Miles lo vede inoltre come uno dei primi promotori del genere GOSPEL in Italia. Forte della sua esperienza di Fede personale insieme alla scelta professionale di collaborare con artisti di origine Afro-Americana ha dato luogo ad interpretazioni fedeli alla tradizione Gospel degli Stati Uniti. Alcuni suoi brani di successo sono “Jivetime Girl” e “Bring Back The Chic” oltre al brano “Hey Mr. D.J.” che è subito diventata una hit dell’estate. Il suo più recente lavoro è “Love and Joy”,è uscito ottobre 2006.

Born in Indianapolis, Arthur Miles starts his musical career in Los Angeles where the influence of his uncle, Wes Montgomery, and the contact with the most important jazz, soul and blues musicians of the time appearing at his father’s club “Arthur’s”, inspire him to the point that music becomes his art. Edwin Starr, Josè Feliciano, Big Joe Turner and Johnny Otis are but a few of the artists he has worked with. After touring USA, Canada, Japan and Europe he settles in Italy where his special voice quickly becomes one of the most requested in both recording studios and live shows. His work with Zucchero sees the recording of “Un Diavolo in Me”, “Senza una Donna”, “Hey man”, “Baila” and “Ahum” and he appears on tv in “Festivalbar”, “Domenica In”, “Nonsolomoda” and “Cantagiro”. His personal LPs include “Arthur Miles Faces The Blues” , “Arthur Miles & The Blues Shakers - Live At The Scimmie” and “Living the Blues” followed by “Flow”, “BlueBoy” and his lastest “Love And Joy” released October 2006.Singles such as “Jivetime Girl” , “Bring Back The Chic” and “Hey Mr. D.J.” were included in compilations all over Europe. His hit single “Helping Hand” is still a favorite on radio playlists. His style is Blues, Soul Rhythm&Blues, Jazz…..And he can be considered one of the pioneers of Gospel music in Italy. His choice of performing with afro-american artists and keeping to the traditional rendering of the genre makes his concerts truly evocative.
