Arthur Mountaniol is L.A.-based experimental-rock artist known for his visionary music,multi-voiced throat singing and innovative guitar work.
He's been recognized by critics and fans alike as a musician extraordinaire as well as one of the most original sounding, conceptual and advanced rock arists in L.A.
Arthur Mountaniol is a graduate of The Moscow Music College and former leader of the Russian new wave avant-garde rock band The Moon Pierrot - the band that even after its mysterious disappearance from the Moscow rock scene in 1992 and with only official 1991 LP release on the Russian major label Melodia, still continues to gather a cult following in Russia and is regarded by many as one of Russia's best intellectual rock groups ever.
After the band's split in 1992, the artist moved to Germany and embarked on his solo career, but in 1998 relocated to Los Angeles,CA where his music projects have bloomed at full force. Here he's made and released his most outrageous, bizarre and visionary albums such as Shamania,Master of Ecstasy and others. He's also proved to be a prolific production machine, producing 2-3 solo albums a year.
Since the artist is exercising unusual interests and philosophies that shape his work, it remains inaccessible and obscure to the mainstream public, but at the same time it wins over a growing number of devoted fans with more sophisticated music tastes and preferencies - people who've outgrown the ordinary and who are free from the influence of the mass media.
Arthur Mountaniol is a full writer/publisher member of ASCAP (American Society of Composers,Authors and Publishers),and is a multiple ASCAP award winner.
Currently he's also giving guitar lessons with his own advanced methodology which significantly boosts guitar skills and music intellect and even helps students find their way to become original.
