Movies
All kinds, so long as it has a good story and well written. Too much swearing, action and unnecessary effects ruin a good picture. Let's see, a few great ones that come to mind are Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Spider-man, The Ring, The Haunting (1963), Cars, Narnia, Spitfire Grill, Pirates of the Caribbean, Bleak House was awesome and so many I cannot think of...
Television
Older shows, like The Honeymooners, Addams Family, Andy Griffith Show, Millennium, X Files, FireFly, Fawlty Towers, Freaks and Geeks, Keeping up Appearances. As far as new shows, Life, Life on Mars, Deadliest Catch and I enjoy Ghost Hunters. Chuck is entertaining, Raising the Bar. I liked Journeyman and the Bionic Woman. Too bad they didn't come back. Dr.Who is fun to watch too. As far as supernatural shows, Chris Carter had the best crew on the Millenium and X Files making it hard for any new show to be as good.
Books
Historic buildings, places, and reference books, not much reading of novels. It's hard to make time for that and paint too.
Heroes
Family. I don't like to list particular names because anyone of you could be a hero at any time.
About me: I am an artist and happily married. The current subjects are lighthouses and their mysteries. In the past, drawing or sketching portraits in pencil by commission helped me when I was out of a normal job. Nowadays my medium is watercolor and I really challenge myself to learn something new with each painting. I take my own photos of the skies, ocean and other material used in the paintings. If the lighthouse no longer exists, then much research has to be done. I don't know about you all, but I have to know my subject before I can create character in the painting.
Who I'd like to meet: Those who are not afraid of morality or the supernatural, including the existence of God.
