If you've visited my profile previously, you may have already come to know me by my website moniker, Artist Insane -- which is arguably descriptive in many ways, though primarily used merely as an alternate identity for Mil Scott. In any case, the reason I initially signed on with it at the predominantly music oriented site, myspace.com, is that a large part of my artistic insanity is indeed grounded in this aspect of the arts...though, as their accompanying blogs point out, the tracks you're hearing as you visit this page represent my first ever (rather primitive!) recording efforts.
To share a bit more about my artistic pursuits, these most notably include writing and performing and a combination thereof whenever possible. Included among my favorite experiences of this kind are NJ and PA productions of A Piece of Them, a prequel I wrote based on Hamlet, which was selected as a finalist in a national playwriting competition, and Nothings First Adieu, which has been workshopped in Manhattans East Village. In addition I have taken numerous courses in both theater and film acting, credits in which media include The Ballad of Susanna Cox (film) and Three of a Kind (Greek drama).
I've also written a full length screenplay (including all of the lyrics to its soundtrack), which was chosen as a winner of Key West Indie Fest, and placed in a screenwriting competition sponsored by San Francisco production company, Bad Kitty Films. Needless to say, I look forward hopefully to seeing this produced in the not too distant future.
I invite you to visit my website to learn more about my work, read extensive samples of my writing, and check out the review pages sharing a few of my thoughts on selected books, music and films. Youll also find artist bios I've written for Third Eye Blind, Brian Fitzpatrick, and A BRAND NEW ONE for Chicago singer/songwriter Michael McDermott (added to his official website's, "About Michael" section on 8/27)...
Please join my Rat group on google!
I'm trying to establish a nice rat community!
The group is mainly for PA rat owners but I would like to invite people from everywhere!
Mil, long time. If you're at a loose end this weekend, do head down, check out my set at The Rockwood @ 5 pm. I don't get over there much and it'd be great to see you in person for a change.
I don't know if you noticed our blog and the contest we're running now until Saturday, but if you subscribe to our blog, your name will automatically be entered in a draw to win an autographed copy of Marshall and His Green High-tops. It makes a great gift for that special child in your life!
Thank you for adding Marshall Mouse and his author Camille Blue Amy as your friend. As you know, I'm helping Camille (who is 72) manage her MySpace profile as she's a new children's author and we're looking to learn and network with other children's authors, illustrators, publishers and people who love children's books or reading to the children in their lives. We also promote and advocate literacy and write book reviews for other authors. We invite you to subscribe to our blog.
If you have time, take a look at Marshall and His Green High-tops (available at http://www.marshallmouse.com and on Amazon.com) and let us know what you think. As a person who loves rats and mice like we do, your opinion would mean a lot to us. The book is suitable for children ages 2-6.
Hey. So ok, I am really frustrated to say that myspace has blocked my account. ThusI have been having some serious problems - and am no longer able to send or reply to messages. This comment may even appear deleted!!! Since we are already friends, please add my new page (listed as my top friend named ANJ'S SECOND PAGE). Once everyone moves over to the new page i'll shut down the original!! Thanks and sorry about the mix-up!
