Lesson 1 for the group Sorry this isn't the pretty version but you can at least read it for yourself.. The Dallas Round Table Entertainment Group Our mission is to bring about awareness, compassion, dedication and change to the still yet untapped and abundant natural resource that is the Dallas entertainment scene through film, radio, photography and publications focused on local, homegrown talent. WWW.DALLASROUNDTABLE.NING.COM FILMDALLAS@ARTISTVISIONPICTURES.COM 2/26/2009 Artist Vision Pictures was my first D.B.A. name back in 2008, where I mainly did freelance graphic design, and photography, all the while trying to break into film, I began doing small roles in indie projects around town, and just a few years ago landed a spot with Funimation studio's doing Voice characterization for cartoons, national and overseas markets. Then I found myself on the show "Cheaters and Eye for an Eye" and hosted a comedy night at a local bar in Addison. After being exposed to all matters of Visual media, was when I got back into music, and promotions where I decided to take all the contacts I picked up along the way (that's when A.V.P. Media Marketing Group came about), and try to incorporate that in a mini-massive community type setting for "locals, and underfunded but extremely talented individuals" Now with Inception of The Dallas Round Table Entertainment Group (end of 2008) we present two forums: Internet radio and an online publication to highlight key points about the entertainment industry in Dallas; who's doing what, and where, casting calls to modeling auditions, indie-film premieres and festivals to poetry readings and gallery showings. I'm here just trying to find my little patch of grass to setup shop and do my part for the entertainment industry here in the "Third Coast" I'm looking to volunteer, and get my feet wet in the professional side of things and make myself known in and around Dallas. I have much to offer as well as a great many contacts, so please don't view me as a fledgling by any means. I guess what I'm looking at is to be a mover and shaker in the scene. A.V.P. Media Marketing Group & The Dallas Round Table A.V.P. is a multimedia talent promotion and marketing service where we locate and showcase local, Dallas-based clientele in their entertainment industry endeavors. The Dallas Round Table is a non-profit think tank responsible for gathering information from the surrounding community and implementing change through D.R.T. E-Magazine, DRT-Y community radio, and D.R.T.-hosted events. The immediate goal is the revitalization and restoration of the historic Deep Ellum area located in Dallas, which used to serve as the premier entertainment hub of North Texas. We are seeking out possible grants and/or Angel investors to gain momentum as we begin our journey. We are also partnering with city officials, groups with similar interests, and volunteers who want to bring about beneficial change to the Dallas entertainment scene. Itinerary for the Deep Ellum Arts Festival Fundraiser and After Event: Thank you Brennan McMahon… Currently we are still in need of volunteers for the Deep Ellum Arts Festival this year. Whether it be one day or all three. This is a rough itinerary draft for the Deep Ellum Arts Festival. The Dallas Round Table Entertainment Group awareness Event and Fundraiser… Deep Ellum arts festival * april 4, 2009 * 10:00am 10AM – Raffle tickets, silent auction begins 11AM – T-Shirt models arrive and start touring Noon – Special Guest arrives Noon30 – Break for lunch 1PM – Special Guest photo ops, leaves by 2PM 2PM-5PM – Silent auction ends, winning bidders announced, raffle winners contacted 6PM – The DRT Wine Social Greetings Members and fellow D.R.T. enthusiasts, and to all of the new members I welcome and thank you for your interest in my passion... I have varied up the name just a bit to help further encompass what it is we are all about here at D.R.T. the new name will be: The Dallas Round Table Entertainment Group... I am now in the process of the business plan and grant applications... While these are not the easiest things to do properly the first time, I am very thankful for those of you who are able to lend your expertise and experience to my vision. This week coming up is going to be very exciting. I am starting the company newsletter, which still needs a good title so send in those newsletter suggestions along with your emails so i can send you a newsletter when they are ready... or send me your address and I can mail you one... for all of you collectors out there... I will also be meeting with some local landlords to discuss buildings for the offices of the D.R.T. Next order of business the fundraiser after event... I am in talks with my editor in chief who (is watching the Super bowl today while I am working) is working up the itinerary for the after event which may go from April 3-5 not just the 4th... Now i can tell you there will be food, drinks, an art show/gallery, live music, and a special surprise or guest for all attendee's... As well as the Silent auctions, and raffle giveaways.. Vocal recording (for dubbing t.v., film, ) Music recording (for mixing, dubbing, scoring, ) D.r.t.-y radio The Talk That’s Not Afraid to Get a Little Dirty… With the recent trend of radio talk shows moving to the online sector The Dallas Round Table Entertainment Group decided to take it one step further and bring the proverbial casting couch off of its knees and onto the internet radio market where we get up close and personal with Dallas actors, models, agents, comedians, filmmakers, and anybody else we feel is worthy of gettin’ a little DIRTY… With both live and podcasted materials, and a soon to be developed video daily cast segment, and blog spot interviews, we plan on showing the best and worst that Dallas has to offer, so no matter how clean you think you are there is still time to get a little D.R.T.-Y… Our first and foremost focus is a possible cohesion with the A.F.I. Dallas Film Festival this year which I am so thankfully a part of thanks to my new friend Terry Real A.F.I. Dallas video coordinator… We have sat down and thought of a few ideas to help bolster some additional interest in the film fest circuit this and have amassed a bulletproof way to podcast as well as videocast the near hundreds of interviews and event happenings that coincide with the weeklong event; and be able to host them on both the official A.F.I. Dallas website… WWW.AFIDALLAS.COM and The Dallas Round Table Entertainment Group website as well… The process would be as simple as capturing the material giving it a quick once over and drop it into the hosted server of either site, then as guests to the site find certain segments they want to hear they have a choice of listening live to The Daily Buzz (one of the D.R.T.-Y SEGMENTS) that includes festival recap from the day before, what’s going on today in the festival, and a look at tomorrow… (A guide into the future of A.F.I.
