Artless Nonculture is a Penn-Ohio punk rock webzine (an online magazine), covering NE Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.

ANC started in mid to late 2007. After a brief hiatus, WE'RE BACK! We're a non-profit, "open-staff", online publication.

What's this mean? It means we'll post your crackpot opinions on our crack-assed site.

If you're interested in doing any of the photography for show coverage, just do it (Please don't sue us, Nike). If you think you've got enough brainpower to use that keyboard in front of you for something other than cutesy love letters to your girlfriend/boyfriend, you're in.

Artless Nonculture is completely non-profit, so we won't say "You're hired", because you ain't gonna get paid shit, and neither are we. It's gonna be pretty hands-on for anyone involved.

ANC is what YOU make of it.

DISCLAIMER: Don't send us messages saying things like, "Let me know how I can get involved", or "How can I help?" The enthusiasm is appreciated, but all you have to do is send an email to artless.nonculture2@gmail.com, with the subject line "join staff" or "I wanna be on your staff", or something like that, and we'll get you set up. BANDS:
If you send us a friend request, keep in mind the nature of this type of publication. We are, when it all comes down to it, assholes, and most of what gets printed in any punk zine is nothing more than criticism. It's brutal honesty. Nothing more, nothing less.

Also, realize that this is a punk rock webzine. So, if you're not playing a style of music that is somehow related to punk, be prepared for your band to get ripped to shreds. We don't like emo. Or "Nu metal". Or that radio-friendly hipster power pop shit that VH1 calls punk. So be warned.
