We are influenced by a lot of different artists, some more mainstream than others. Top of the list would have to be Brian Eno, innovative musician/producer. He is pretty damn amazing and has been a leading figure in the electronic music scene for over 30 years. We enjoy some of his early recordings (No Pussyfooting [with Robert Fripp], Music for Airports, Thursday Afternoon, Discreet Music, My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts [with David Byrne], as well as his production work with Devo, Talking Heads et al.). Other artist that come to mind are (in no particular order) - Tuxedomoon, Howard Jones, Flying Lizards, Cindy Talk, Primal Scream, Skinny Puppy, SPK, Severed Heads, Single Gun Theory..... pretty much anything on the NETTWERK label, Thomas Dolby (The dude never got the props he deserves for the contributions he made to electronic music: "The Flat Earth" rocks! - plus he wrote "New Toy" for Lene Lovitch!), Chapterhouse, Front 242, Depeche Mode, The Sounds, The Smiths, The Orb, Sisters of Mercy, Led Zepplin, We LOVE The Stone Roses, Chaka Khan/Material,The Church, Divinyls, James Brown, Grandmaster Flash, Todd Terry, Wolfgang Gartner, KRAFTWERK (Of Course!), ALL 4AD artists step forward please, Motorhead, WASP ( I know can you believe it?), Nirvana, Fleetwood Mac, The Residents, Chrome, Yello, DAF, Early Mute artists like The Silicon Teens and The Normal, Berlin, Visage, The Velvet Underground, Iggy and The Stooges, MC5, Radio Birdman (who Dave would go see as a teenager), Metallica, Sneaker Pimps, OMD, MINISTRY & Revco, Thrill Kill Cult, MEN WITHOUT HATS, Candyflip, Greater Than One, Bassomatic, William Orbit, Long Live The Shoegazers, 1990's underground dance music, Hardcore Breakbeat rave, Electro, Tech House, Dub step...

Dave Richardson (Hyper D) is an Australian artist/musician deeply involved in many different aspects of alternative culture in the Bay area over the last 20 years. After playing bass in the Sydney band Lucky Dinosaurs he moved to Japan in 1988, where he co-founded the highly regarded audio visual team “HYPERDELIC VIDEO”. When they relocated to San Francisco in the early 90's the team provided light shows for such groundbreaking events as “Toontown, “Carefree” ,"Wicked" "Basics" and many others, as well as working with such seminal figures as Timothy Leary, Genesis P. Orridge of Psychic TV and writer, philosopher, psychonaut and ethnobotanist Terrance McKenna. When the team wound down operations in the mid to late 1990's, Dave returned to his first love of music, both as a composer/musician (contributing to the "50 Years of Sunshine" compilation) and as a resident DJ at the city’s longest running techno happy hour Qoöl, located in the heart of downtown San Francisco at the 111 Minna Gallery. When he's not enjoying studio time with Chris, he also takes pleasure in writing on pop-culture topics with his long running blog datajunkie.
Chris Demetras (D. J. Demetras) is an ingenious whirlwind who has been impacting the San Francisco music scene for over 15 years. Chris’ classical training serves him as a d. j., musician, composer and producer, and now weaves anachronistic fugues into his own blend of reality music. Chris’ beginnings as an S. F. club d. j. in the 1990s highlight his energy and eclectic interest in electronic melodies and sounds. With a home studio at his disposal, he travailed through countless hours of methodical study and practice. Constant determination transitioned Chris’ eclipse of turntables with keyboards, and he discovered and conquered the performance stage. His recorded music and live shows express mesmeric orchestrations lifted by dynamic beat constructs. Chris has worked on several solo projects, produced under many different names and enjoyed numerous concrete and digital releases. When he isn’t providing euphonic-savvy production/engineering skills for himself or other artists, Chris can be found behind a camera archiving the world or mesmerized on his laptop plotting its demise through Ms. Pac Man and Galaga.
