2009, has been an intersting year for the boys, seeing them play with the likes of Les Claypool at the Rave in Milawakee,WI, the world Famous Wailers, the Lee Boys and also saw them complete their first tour in Colorodo in the winter. They have also held down the Peoria After show scene this summer playing after Moe. Goverment Mule, and Cornmeal at the Favorite live Music spot S.O.P's. But it has also been a break out year in the sense of merchandising and getting the word out of this band that has been together since the spring of 2004! Playing such memorable sets as The Grateful Dead Halloween and Jerry Garcia Band set for Reggae on Riverfront done in reggae style proving they are one of the most versataille bands in the area. Founded by singer song writer Dee Mill and Jake Schultz this year is where they have began to look to head in a new direction, since Jake 's time has been consumed with his other project Brainchild and he has not enough time to be every where the boys are going. With another fall/winter tour on the horizon they needed someone that could travel outside the midwest and play all the shows without pressure from his other band. He is still our brother and our friend and we wish him and his band the best! That being said it is time to move on to the next chapter of Ill Fusion which involves their first full length movie, a live double dvd from Reggae on the Riverfront 2008 nd 2009 All Original Reggae and Jerry Garcia Band Reggae set respectively. They have continually stepped over under and thru every obsticle that has been in their way to get to the point that they are at. Dee has sat in with MOE. and Umphrey's together at 2006 summercamp 'Superjam' and also played with Futureman from Bela Fleck, Hot butterd Rum, Dirty Dozzen Brass Band, Leftover Salmon, 56 Hope Road, The Zen Trixters, 13th Sun, Jah Roots, Joseph Israel, and have had members of Umphreys, Dark Star Orchestra, Great American Taxi, Groovatron, and many more sit in with them. They aslo have a complete clothing line that has started up and the newest design is teamed up with lot superstar label Dope Logo for their 'Music is Art' line available NOW! They are geared up and ready for new progress in 2010! Art of Ill Fusion shows can be desribed as different than any of the other jambands in The Central Illinois area not because of the music, but also because of the Family Vibe that is evident at their shows. Dee Mill is a nephew of a original ‘Prankster’ and has followed such Artists Rob Barraco(Phil N Friends), Ike Willis(Frank Zappa n Project Object) and Fareed Haque( Garaj Mahal ) who are all friends of his uncle and he has learned a lot from being behind the scenes on these tours. He also has a lot of great old school people as a support system backing him because they aslo believe in Art of Ill Fusion's Potential! . The Boys have been from Baltimore MD to Fort Collins CO sharin their jams help get them to a town near you. Come out to a SHOW AND SEY HEY TO OUR FAM!
