About me: ARTISTIC ACTIVISM
Art of Politics 2008 launched January 15th. We are soliciting original graphic art posters representing a political issue of the artist’s choice from around the country. Artwork will be collected over a five month period and displayed on an interactive website, www.ArtOfPolitics2008.com, where viewers can see the posters, discuss the issues and vote on their favorites. A democratic People’s Choice system of voting will determine which posters make it to the final round of the competition. During the months that submission is open, viewers will be encouraged to log on to the website to view the latest submissions. Poster voting will occur during the month of May. The jury of judges will select the top three posters and prizes will be awarded. The top 30 posters will then travel throughout the country to coincide with the final months of the national election on November 4, 2008.
