1. What is ArtShakes.com???
It is a virtual gallery for Artists, Art Collectors and Art Dealers. You can put up all the images you have from one piece to many more.
2. How much does it cost???
It is totally free! No commisions, no fees. It is just a place to display your art. ArtShakes does not get involved with any transactions. There will be a premium membership down the road but this will only be for advanced users and those to wish to sell art on a higher level. The basic gallery space is free to everyone.
3. Why should I use ArtShakes.com and not another online gallery???
You should use them all even if you put up only a few images. If you prefer to put up most of your art on another site or a home page, you can attach a link to it. We are here to enable you to promote your art.
4. What is all the ebay auctions, are they involved???
No we are a totally different entity from ebay. We do feature ebay art auctions but only art related relevant ones. Staff members choose editor's auctions and we do have a feed for the auctions getting the most attention. Members can also use the site features to promote their ebay auctions. Online art auctions are an integral part of the Art World online these days.
5. Can I post nudes on the site???
Yes. You can lock out your images so you have to log in as a member to see them. Since you have to be 18 to join this will keep the site safe for all ages. Please also remember you are sharing this space with other art minded people and to treat your fellow members with respect. We prefer to let you use your own personal judgement as much as possible.
6. Is it safe and how private is it???
It is totally safe and very private. No one will be able to see your email when they contact you through the site, only if you choose to contact them back off the site. Please read our privacy policy on the site for more information.
7. How does the site work????
We make money from advertising, premium memberships and cookies from site links when they make a sale. So our job is to make this site as easy and helpful to you as possible. We have to try our best to make this a win win situation for everyone.
8. How do you choose the Art news???
We pick art articles from major sites that we feel will be of interest to our members. We also use this space to profile artists, interviews ( member and non members ) and make announcements. All art related of course. If you have something you would like to feature, please let us know and we will our best to accomadate you.??
