Arts in Motion brings classical music into the 21st century through
collaborations with video artists, electronic musicians, poets, and interactive
designers. Since 2002, Arts in Motion has presented over 20 multimedia
concerts in venues ranging from The Kimmel Center to Club Fluid. Arts in
Motion also provides computer composition lessons for inner city youth,
encouraging students to combine classical loops with their favorite beats. A
non-profit corporation, Arts in Motion is supported by local foundations, art
patrons, volunteers, and its active young board of directors.
"I saw all my colours in my minds eye. Wild lines verging on the insane formed drawings before my very eyes."
- Wassily Kandinsky describing visions he experienced while listening to Wagner... captured on canvas, these visions formed the foundation of modern abstract art.
