And yes...I will watch chick flicks! | | Television | I really watch very little current television, catching pretty much everything in DVD-by-season form. As such, my all time favorite shows would easily be CORNER GAS!!!!, Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, ALF, Scrubs, Frasier (yet not a fan of Cheers...), and That 70's Show.
Marie and I have recently discovered and totally engrossed ourselves in the show Bones!
Others: NYPD Blue, Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, Third Rock From The Sun, CSI (all three versions) and...yes...Miami Vice.
| | Books | Basically, I fall into two camps as far as reading goes: fantasy or non-fiction, especially bios/autobio's in the baseball, wrestling, and metal industries. Favorite fantasy authors: Terry Goodkind, JRR Tolkein, Terry Brooks, Frank Perretti, Stephen King's "Dark Tower" collection. I also recently started reading my wife's J.D. Robb collection for something new to read.
Must read books of late? The Heroin Diaries by Nikki Sixx and Slash by...well...Slash. I also really enjoyed "Hitman" by Bret Hart. Unfortunately, most of my reading now revolves around my college texts!

About me:
Yeah, so, I was told I had to fill this in for some reason...so here goes.
I am a happily married (to Marie...3+ years) father (of Jaydon...20 months) from Nebraska. Huge fan of the Kansas City Royals (yeah, I know...), the Dallas Cowboys, and ALL THINGS HUSKER (we're coming back, baby!)the UFC, WEC, and most other MMA organizations. Big time pro-wrestling fan, as well, with TNA being my current favorite (see below), as I have little to no use for the WWE or their agenda.
I am a counselor/para-educator for troubled teens in an emergency juvenile shelter. I work with 12-19 year olds ranging from the completely innocent (safe-keeping) to the incredibly guilty (sex-offenders). I have been with the same company for nearly 8 years now, and while the work can be very hard and heart-breaking, it is also incredibly rewarding. I am also a para-educator in a behavioral unit of a local middle school. Additionally, I am a nationally certified TACT-II instructor, which means I am trained to teach people to verbally de-escalate, and when necessary, physically restrain, people in severe emotional distress and/or who are a physical danger to themselves or others.

I am a certified personal trainer, though I really don't do much of that any longer. I am also a competitive bodybuilder/power-lifter (100% drug-free), and I hope to hit the stage again in 2010 if my knees will cooperate. I recently helped put together and officiated a strongman contest, and I have been a competitor in numerous armwrestling competitions.
I am probably most "famous" because I "own" the Christian Metal Realm at www.christianmetalrealm.com and www.christianmetalrealm.niceboard.com. Primarily a message board (though always expanding...), the CMR is an on-line community for Christians who love metal, metalheads who want to discuss Christian metal, and quite a bit of everything else in the middle! We have put out three compilation CD's so far, and the 4th installment will soon be underway and will be a tribute CD to the mighty Deliverance! Be sure to stop in often to check it out! Oh...and yes, the Christian Metal Realm page here on MySpace is OFFICIALLY the CMR page, but I do not directly run it, so if you have a problem with it, let me know and I will see what I can do. (We're on Facebook, too, but don't tell the MySpace people!)
Finally, I am currently enrolled in two colleges at once to finish my teaching degree.
