The Floyd Artist Association closed the doors of Art Under The Sun Gallery, January, 2009. We have reopened at the newly renovated Station, 203 S. Locust Street, Floyd, VA. The Floyd Artists Association is your Blue Ridge Art Connection! A place for artists to show their work, have classes and connect with each other. We are still located just off the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway, but we are now on the street level in The Station, along with some other wonderful galleries and a newly opening restaurant. Floyd County probably has the highest percentage of creative talent in all of Virginia. Artists, musicians, writers, etc. all seem drawn to this rural town.
You can find the Floyd Artists Association, Blue Ridge Art Connection, located just up from Floyd's single red light near the intersection of Route 8 and 221. Despite the town's small size, Floyd is home to almost a dozen art galleries, seven live music venues and two live theater groups; while the two coffee shops host writers' groups, and poetry readings. The Friday night music jam brings people flocking from all over and music beckons from almost every building.
The Blue Ridge Art Connection is brought to you by the Floyd Artists Association. We are committed to bring you the very best of the arts culture of rural Floyd, Virginia!
