Madrid-based acoustic and electric bassist. Member of the
Kyrios quartet, house band for every tuesday's jam session at Madrid's Segundo Jazz club, his main projects are the jazz fusion band
Tet-Quart and the
Juan Camacho Quintet, with which he recorded their latest CD
'La estrategia del tiempo'. Also a member of the jazz quartet
Prinz Jazz, he performed with Canadian guitarist
Margaret Stowe in her 2008 Madrid tour.
Ex-member of the Mo'Jazz quartet (2000-2002), the Symbiosis quintet (2006), the Su'Bop trio (2001-2007) and the pop-rock covers band Inner Game, he has also collaborated in various projects with pianist
David Sanz, co-founding
Babieca, folk music band with which he developed an intense live activity in Spain and Portugal from 2002 to 2006. He has performed at the XXIII, XXIV and XXV Festival de Jazz de Madrid (2006, 2007 and 2008) with Kyrios, the Fémina 2007 festival along with Ángela Cervantes, the X Ciclo de Jazz Universidad Rey Juan Carlos with the Juan Camacho Quintet (2007) and the Festival de Jazz de Talavera 2007 with the jazz fusion band Tisana.
Arturo composed the original soundtrack for the short film
Icaria (directed by George Karja), and has occasionally performed live with
