Walking in the woods.
Playing my Conga.
Thinking.
Having a right laugh at nobody's expense.
Music
I certainly love the music I make. I've been influenced by everything beautiful I ever heard. I luv Jimmy Hendrix. Did
you see? He left word on the 4th of Jan 2007. Da best comment ever! Hey... i listened to your music, it is good.
Movies
Disney Fairy Tales. Yeah. They get me!
Television
What TV? I'd rather stare at the sea.
Books
Love 'em.
Particularly Mind, Body and Spirit Books.
I have a fair sized library of my own with over a thousand books; all of which I have read and do go reading again.
Heroes
I try to pay heed to The Spirit. So I would say that The Spirit is my Hero.
And this could be me in another life.

About me:
My name is Henrietta Asatooma-Meje Alele.
I am an artist. I work with paints, words and sounds. I love SILENCE.
I am six feet tall. I only mention this because there don't seem to be many tall female singers about. Why? Do people only want to listen to short women? Are tall women barred from the music industry?
I live in London. Sometimes I do feel that I need to be somewhere else. Then I go off to find the sea, mainly around the south east coasts of England, and everything is alright again when I see the waters.
I do a lot of things for free. I think that the best things in life are exactly that. Some people think the opposite, that nothing in life is free. Where do you stand?
The past decade has been unbelievable for me. Just after the millenium everything went haywire and I found myself literally on my death bed. I couldn't even play the drums! Or do any of my fav things, talk less sing. But I could read! And that is exactly what I did. I read a library and three quarters and didn't realise it at the time!
Soon the answers began to turn up that made me get better. Even I was surprised when it happened. The last five years? I can only describe them in the words of a band called HENRIETTA that I found on myspace: Good old Henrietta is dead, long live THE SILENCE.
My Influences are:
Howling Dog Blues;
Gospels and Spirituals;
African Music;
Some Country;
Some Ska; Some Reggae;
And a whole load o' Rock...
I have been out of there for several weeks, and i am sorry. I have been busy with my noew appartment.
Tomorrow, it's Thanksgiving Day, i guess all americans across the country gonna sit down together, and share blessings an give thanks for their family.
I trully feel how family is important for Americans. I feel the same. I am not American but i can feel and share some values with ya.
Tomorrow is also a day to remember all the people who can not be their families (soldiers all around the world, all the guys or women who can not be at home today).
I wanted to take time for ya and tell i tell how i am happy to know ya.
All my warmest wishes fot an happy holiday season from me, and my fam, to you and your family.
~ "A life of hardship does not relieve one from the obligation to provide for others. Far from it. A life of hardship teaches just how much one must provide for others. Having known hunger, I know its pain too well to suffer another to go without food. Having been ignored, I know the importance of being cherished. Knowing the devastation of violence, I feel the need to spread peace. Yes, I know hardship. And for that reason I feel the obligation to relieve others from it." -Angels Among Us, The Arbinger Institute From: SethAdamSmith ~

This song is for my sisters,
my past sisters, ancestor sisters, my ‘ansistors’. This song
is for my future sisters, those women I am yet to know. This
song is for my now sisters: my flesh and blood and bone
sisters. My wolf sisters, raven sisters, crow sisters, bear
sisters. Owl, horse and spider sisters. My
laughing, dancing, playing sisters, My elder sisters, younger
sisters, My poetic, artistic, amazing
sisters! Those teaching, tolerant, together
sisters. Ink sisters, witch sisters, soul sisters, star
sisters. This song is for my weaving sisters, clan sisters,
tribal sisters. My howling, screaming, chanting
sisters. My power-raising cave sisters. My country
sisters, town sisters, Domestic, feral, wild
sisters. My sweet-voice singing sisters, My
earth-stained hands sisters, My smart suited corporate
sisters. My forest, lake and moor
sisters, Beachcombing sea shell shore sisters. My
fire spinning spark sisters. This song is for my healing
sisters, My caring, comforting arms sisters. My
fairy sisters, elven sisters, magic moonlight madness
sisters. I am blessed by your sisterhood. I am
honoured by your friendship. I am humbled to be part of
you.
This week remember just how important you are. We all find it easy to acknowledge the importance of others in our lives. Yet it is all too easy to overlook our own need to be nurtured and loved. So this week give yourself that extra little care and attention. In looking after our own needs, we make ourselves better people for those around us. Enjoy your own uniqueness my friend.
Thanks for the awesome comment art! It is simply beautiful, and so are people that look for the similarities in one another, in which they find common ground, instead of differences. Just like the lil'cat-n-rabbit in this foto. Henrietta, that sounds like a cool name for a band "Common Ground" haha Message me sometime and tell me more about your music and how life is for you.
