In 2005, old friends assembled in Raleigh, NC with indie/classic rock aspirations of achieving music fame. Now, four years later, the band has matured into a seasoned Rock ‘n Roll act ready to take their music out of the Triangle and to the rest of the Southeast.
Adam Newson (vocals/keyboards), Gray Henderson (guitar/vocals), Reaves Greer (drums/percussion), and Mark Voller (bass) make up the fun-loving Alternative Rock act ASCELLA VEGA. Ascella Vega has spent the last four years taking their sound from that of a talented college band to a diverse rock ‘n roll act that has the potential to pack any venue.
All of the members attended to Needham Broughton High School together in Raleigh, NC and stayed nearby for college. During their college years, they made a name around the Triangle as a prominent area band competing (and winning) local battle of the bands competitions. They developed a dedicated fan base in the Raleigh/Durham area that was willing to follow them wherever they played. With their ever-growing fan base craving more original music, ASCELLA VEGA decided it was time to take their band to the next level.
In March 2008, they released their first EP, "Put It In Motion." In July 2008, they were listed as the Editor's Pick and Choice Cut on www.indie-music.com. The diversity of their matured sound could be best described by Reed Turchi from the Vinyl Press: "Their sound ranges from heavy chorded-out rock as in the chorus of the title track "Put It in Motion" and introduction of "House On a Hill", to the near blues/rock of "Contradiction", to the bright and clear piano intro and vocal harmonies of "Bright Future."
Ascella Vega is riding a wave of momentum following their headlining performances at Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh, NC on September 4, 2008 and in Memorial Hall at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on February 7, 2009. The Lincoln Theatre show brought out over 500 people and then the riveting Memorial Hall performance included a full set with a horn section and a diverse set of music that had the crowd of nearly 700 people rocking away to the tunes of Ascella Vega.
The future is as bright as the stars Ascella and Vega, especially with the group freshly graduated from college and now giving their full dedication to perfecting their art.

Driving down the road and thought of you gents - then I pressed the 'junkback' button on my new radio ...everything became a swirl of buttons, sliders, and knobs... staring at the studio ceiling amidst the clamor of technical drama... it's all coming back to me now - more so like a treasure trunk :O) Onward I drove to the treasure trove !
