| General | Lots of geeky stuff. Anime, computer games, video games, and Go (the greatest board game in the history of ever). Also huge choir nut, and love to be in any choir I can possibly get into. Finally, I'm a pretty big fencer too. That's about it, really. | | Music | Lots of choral stuff, mainly barbershop music and a capella stuff. Also a fan of classic rock, and (being an anime fan) some japanese stuff as well. I adore good opera, especially works by Puccini, Verdi and Mozart. | | Movies | The two Holy Trinities of film: Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. Casablanca is also a must-see: the most romantic movie ever made. Citizen Kane as well, just for the sheer artistry. | | Television | A lot of fansubbed anime; my favorites right now are Naruto, Bleach, and Saiyuki. I sometimes watch Mythbusters when it's on. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is pretty much the only American show that I watch regularly (and yes, I'm obsessed with it). | | Books | LOTS of fantasy. My favorites so far are the Bartimaeus Trilogy and the Black Jewels Trilogy. Very different in tone, but both excellent. Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead are definite favorites as well. And I'm probably one of the youngest people to ever own The Complete Works of Aristotle. | | Heroes | Winston Churchill: For his heroic spirit and ever-sharp wit.
John Milton: For creating some of the most breathtaking poetry in the English language.
Ayn Rand: For showing that man is a heroic being capable of anything. |
