We are a group of four sisters who have been singing together since we were little.
We have been singing for many years, starting before high school and continuing throughout college at the Franciscan University of Steubenville. We have been asked many times to record, but the whole project appeared to be such a huge, expensive undertaking that we kept putting it off. Finally, one day after singing for a Mass in our parish, a woman handed us a twenty-dollar bill and said, "Here, this is the beginning of a CD fund for you girls. You need to record." Seeing that it was a long-time hope of our parents, and with the prompting of people who appreciated our music, we decided to record in August of 2003.
Our first album, Reign In Me, is a recording of 13 songs that we have been singing for many years. It is essentially a live recording without any production behind it.
Since that first recording, we have found a producer and have begun to record our own music. We released our new album, Toward the Heights, in June of 2007. It includes seven songs that we have written and two covers. We´re so blessed to be able to express our great love of the Catholic faith through our own music.
The name ASCENT was inspired by the life of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, one of our favorite saints. During his short life on earth, Blessed Pier Giorgio often experienced a physical ascent through the sport of mountain climbing. More importantly, he made a spiritual ascent by living the eight beatitudes. In our own lives we hope to make the same spiritual ascent that he did and one day reach our final destination, heaven.

There is a free list of nearly 100 radio stations and networks that WILL PLAY CHRISTIAN RAP from Independent Artists. I have personally contacted the stations, spoken with Management at the stations and gathered all the info myself. I’ve been working on this for the past year and only initiated contact last week, so all contacts are FRESH.
