So glad to hear your voice again Kim, hope you're well. I'm reading a fantastic book at present "Sexing the Cherry" by Jeanette Winterson, have you read it? I think you'd like it.

Charlie, now a big guy at 3 years old, has decided that you, Kim, need a red light saber because you are a good girl who needs a light saber.   He just told me this so I thought you needed to know!   :)

    If You Forget Me

    I want you to know

    one thing.

    You know how this is:

    if I look

at the crystal moon, at the red branch

of the slow autumn at my window,

    if I touch

    near the fire

    the impalpable ash

or the wrinkled body of the log,

    everything carries me to you,

    as if everything that exists,

    aromas, light, metals,

    were little boats

    that sail

toward those isles of yours that wait for me.

    Well, now,

if little by little you stop loving me

I shall stop loving you little by little.

    If suddenly

    you forget me

    do not look for me,

for I shall already have forgotten you.

If you think it long and mad,

    the wind of banners

    that passes through my life,

    and you decide

to leave me at the shore

of the heart where I have roots,

    remember

    that on that day,

    at that hour,

    I shall lift my arms

and my roots will set off

    to seek another land.

    But

    if each day,

    each hour,

you feel that you are destined for me

i don't stop by myspace much anymore....   but when i do i always stop by your corner of the web.   most of the time i don't know what to say.   nothing seems personal enough.   nothing singularly personal enough from me to you.....   so i sit here, moments on end trying to find the "right" thing to say.   i read your blogs that i've not kept  up with and my heart feels alternate joy and sadness.   just know that i know (most of the time) what you are trying to say.

:) Hope you're feeling much better Kim and can appreciate the juiciness of summersols. Here it's dark and broody, the winter light is thin and silvery cold, but very very fine, I do love the precious light in winter, the sunsets are spectacular, with big, clumpy snow laden dark clouds coming up from the south, you'd love it.

Woot!  Glad you are covered in warm fuzzy-wuzzy-ness.  And by the way, Cleo Laine rocks!  If you were listening to her this week, that is one heck of a healing voice.  I've seen her live in concert and was lucky enough to meet her backstage, her husband and her son.  My first impression was ... she's so tiny!!!!!  On stage, she and her voice, absolutely huge!  In real life, she's teeny!  I'm five 11. I could have scooped her up and brought her home.  She is really a fabulously lovely person!  Keep the warm fuzzies out and about you, now!
