A Seated Craft is the music of Alexia Peniguel, an Australian born, Berlin based musician. She recently completed her first album, titled "The Savage and the Small". 200 pre-launch limited edition copies have been made available through bandcamp. Handmade and carefully crafted from moss green recycled card, with delicate cover art by A Seated Craft, each piece is numbered accordingly and comes with a lyrics booklet printed on transparent ivory paper. She's been there longer than most Oz transplants – nudging five years and more or less fluent in German. The Savage and the Small is largely in English, though, and a set of songs as much about homesickness, missing people and finding a new place to call home. The production work of Tony Dupe is stunning on this – it carries across as a meeting of artists, Alexia's crafty (!) songwriting thrown into the acoustic playground of Dupe's fiddling.
