Ash Devine has written over 150 songs, and more coming, Ash's music and artist themes relate to social justice, poetic webs of society, nature and the relationships between it all.
Ash Devine has lived and performed in Asheville North Carolina for over five years. Asheville is home to thousands of artists seeking vehicles for their work. Ash's growing repretuar of songs continuously awes audiences with a fresh folk fusion style integrating old time and celtic traditional styles with jazz, african and eastern music and alternative experimental sounds. The lyrics are infused with meaning, telling stories of people, nature and social revolution. Ash Devine performs with a three piece band: Quetzal on Cello, and Brian on percussion. Together, the trio creates hauntingly beautiful and emotionally powerful musical compositions.
The Debut album Ash Devine will be released in August 2009. The release will be followed by a CD release tour of the Northeastern and South Western United States and in 2010, the tour will continue to the Western United States and beyond.
With the strong belief music is a tool for education, healing and community transformation, Ash is always searching for ways to emerse her art into humanitarian and social change efforts.
