I listen to just about anything depending on what I am doing. Country is NOT at the top of my list however I do LOVE Johnny Cash. I like the radio when I drive (New Rock, Classic Rock and some NPR and Classical). When I am with my girlfriend Sheila I listen to Metal and when I am with my daughter I listen to the flavor of the month pop star that makes me want to go try on lipstick and perfume samples at the mall. A friend once sent me Opera and I listened to it only to be nice and I did like it. Not because it was a great piece of work but because it was something a friend wanted to share. I can't imagine that Opera means much to me as the only exposure I have had to it was when I was a teenager and I nearly made the stuck up snobby woman I worked for miss Les Miserables because my little car wouldn't start. On a brighter note My adoptive Dad played Opera while I was growing up and used to sing along to Pavarotti while doing dishes and drinking red wine. He was on the cover of hen pecked magazine and got a new apron for the rites to use his photo. HA ha ha.
I guess the bottom line for me is that I like music with a soul and that is easy to sing along with. If it has passion and I feel what it is saying I am all over it. I am open and always willing to grow.

OK it is official. I watch The Family Guy pretty regularly and thats about it. The news scares me. I read the paper sometimes.

About me: I am a person who reads a lot about world history and especially Celtic legends and ancient lore. I am most comfortable when exploring and documenting things. I collect all types of things and I really like bugs, just not in my mouth or biting me with their venomous bites. I love to sketch crazy hair brain ideas that I come up with in the middle of the night while sleeping and sometimes while I am awake and doing something mundane. I have animal friends as well as people.
All my animals have come to me as rescues with the exception of the ponies whom I sought after for healing and work I was doing with a charity. They are non profit ponies and worth every penny I paid for them. They are my little contribution to a cause only a horse crazy child would understand. My animals are forever animals and I don't take an animal I don't think I can keep forever. Shit does happen though and so I try to keep an open mind that they really are not my animals and that I am just here to help them as they really had no choice as to whether they wanted to be mine or not. I talk to my animals as if they were human. But I rarely use that baby gaga gooey voice some people do. I started training horses 14 years ago and I love to ride bareback and I especially love to ride a horse that suggests places to go and doesn't just wait to be told. I guess I like to keep them sort of wild like me. I think my animals help me to accept the fact that my children will grow up and move away and then I will be alone. I have never liked being alone as much as when I was surrounded by people who love me and yet the sheer reality of it makes me cringe and feel sorry for myself when no one else is looking. I spoil my kids and pets whenever I have the means or a chance and revel in the family moments when we feel like we have accomplished something magnificent. I try to celebrate as many things as I can because I truly believe that life should be the reflection of the love that creates all this. I was going to say created however I think it is a work in progress and still being created or at least I hope it is.

well tis summertide now and the sunshines long and mars and regalis and mercury shall brightly aline to the west when the sun sets. to the west well anouncing another set of swallows have hatched, and the geese walked up to me with greeting in the morn showing me their young goslings, and i was quite surprise they weren t afraid of me. and the lovage is blooming and finch sit on the tall stems, bending they to arch, and the flycatcher gathers moss and lichen and feathers for its nest and eagle and osprey vy for fishing spaces and strawberries are blooming and calypso orchids and ferns are unraveling, fiddle head and brachen and the sky is wispy with white feather clouds and the river is rolling on and the bull frogs grcump and the turtles cross the road its summer tide again o glory fine indeed.... blessings on this day, and night and all the inbetweens.

I have been dying to visit tucson for the longest time! From LA the drive is do-able, but from humboldt---almost impossible (unless I had alot of time off)...hopefully I can plan a road trip some time soon! I miss you all very much!
