About me:
Citizens' Awareness Asheville is a grassroots organization formed by local residents who have become outraged at the law enforcement harassment and brutality occurring within out community. We seek to protect the rights of all Asheville residents from the abuse of power by law enforcement. In accordance with NC State Constitution, Article 1, Section 3, we assert our "inherent, sole, and exclusive right of regulating the internal government and police, thereof, through the operation of an independent Police Oversight Review Board and Copwatch program. Using educational tools, and non-violent action, these programs seek to ensure proper conduct by law enforcement, and quality service.

Who I'd like to meet:
People interested in getting out on the streets, and taking the safety of their neighborhoods and communities into their own hands and want to prevent the police from brutalizing communities of color, the poor, and homeless.
