We love the mountains. I live on land that has been in my father's family for 7 generations. My mom's family goes back 12 generations here in these mountains. People not far from me are living what you will see in this film. It is heart breaking. I know these people. I've seen this land.

Have always taught and studied classical piano. 5:00 in the morning Dad was playing scales on his Gibson that had been given to him by the company! He was amazing! I love traditional music from different cultures. Love the old primitve baptist singing that came from the Hebridees Islands and predates Christ. I want to learn that!

On the Billboards

How can I explain?
I was born.
I saw very large photos on the big brick walls in the big streets of the big city
photos of women,
Wearing very little or
Doing something
Unnatural
& it would be to sell beer
Or something.
To sell.
Some thing.
Thing.

Taught to look at myself &
Under my own gaze I fell, like an object to myself.
