the experimental sonic zones assembled from radio static, filtered beats and frequencies, record scratches and samples, and minimal, repetitive voices of Storm-Drain:

or the dream-tinged, alternate pop contained in the metaphorical and ambiguous vocal tracks of Cyan Pointers:

| About Ashin |

Take it back, and way down, Scrape off some of that glam and sheen, And make it raw, make it bleed. Set it in black and adorn it with green. Set it in motion in the four directions, It blooms below as it shines from above. Set it on fire, burning with passion, Gestures of intensity, Movements of love. Inseparable: body and spirit, form and energy, The natural state of flowing blood, and strong bone, A noise of embodiment in a territory, A song connecting one with his or her home. So, take it back, to a primal state, Rip it, bleeding, all the way down. Open up wide, and swallow it whole, Watch it in the sky, but feel it in the ground.

The Vampyre Dances, Dancing Electress, Storm-Drain, and Cyan Pointers CDs now available!

I’m interested in the play of differences, an illumination of shadows, the ever-rising diversity of heterogeneous forms from the field of homogeneity and uniformity. It’s a natural occurrence of forces: once an empire has gobbled up enough tribes, they will sprout from within it. The growth of these diverse forces is natural, evident, and necessary. As an artist, I am pulled to respond, to contribute to their embodiment and manifestation.
It is this play of differences that I see in the symbol of the ouroboros, the snake biting its tail, and I mean to reflect in the phrase ‘Archaic Futurism and Baroque Minimalism.’ This dynamic interaction between the poles underwrites harmony, rhythm, and the pulse that life is founded on. It creates a circle, which through time is a wave.
