i can't say that there has been even
one type of music
that has influenced me the most,
much less any one or two musicians.
i grew up listening to a lot of classic rock,
thanks to my dad
and some of the oldest rock groups
would have to be some of my favorites.
My family is full of music buffs
with extremely different
points of views on music
and i could go on forever
about my favorite artists and such!
About a year ago, my Dad had a reaction
to his blood pressure medication.
His blood pressure spiked and his heart stopped.
This was the most terrifying moment
of my life, hands down.
Luckily, my mom was CPR certified
and she was able to revive my dad.
If my mom hadn't been there to save my dad's life,
he would not be here with us today.
i believe that every individual
should be CPR certified
and i myself have received my CPR certification.

Just Tell is a new non-profit that encourages
kids to tell an adult if they
are being sexually abused.

Hey, i'm Ashleigh!
i am an aspiring singer/songwriter.
i've been singing and writing songs
for as long as i can remember.
at about 13 months old i started talking and singing.
i used to waddle around in my diaper
singing songs like
Green Eyed Lady and Horse With No Name.
My life has always been surrounded by music.
Nothing could ever replace my dream of singing.
i have recorded at
-Rainey Recording Studios in Drasco, Arkansas
-Doug Deforest's Studio in Cherokee Village, Arkansas
-Sonicboom Studio in Raritan, New Jersey
and currently with Todd Smallwood
at his studio in Southern California.
My traveling for music has introduced me to all kinds of people
Some of them have become great friends.
i have a wonderful family!
They've supported me in all that i do from day one
and i am so blessed to have them.
i have had lessons in Fiddle, Guitar and Piano.
Ultimately, though, i really just want to sing!
Right now, i'm having fun working with Todd!

Todd Smallwood is one of the coolest people i have met throughout the crazy music business. Todd's love for music and talent is simply phenomenal. He plays guitar and sings like no other! if you haven't checked out his page yet i recommend that you do! He is my 2nd friend on my tops so he isn't hard to find. Check out No Borders Records as well which is my 1st top friend. There is a lot of cool music on this page.
i will be reading and answering as many of my comments and messages as i possibly can, but there may be times when my mom helps me out now that school is beginning again. i love seeing your messages and comments so please keep posting your wonderful comments on my page. i have been so blessed to have such supportive and caring friends here on myspace. i hope you like "Midnight Train To Georgia"! i have always been a big fan of this song as well as Gladys and Todd had the great idea to record our own version of it. It is on an album called "Loveride 25" and the album is full of talented artists! You can check the entire album out on iTunes. The money made from the sells goes to children with muscular dystrophy and i bought a copy of every song on the album just to donate my money to a great cause like this one. i hope you will go buy a few copies yourself!
"Sweetest Memory" and "Long Goodbye" are also available on iTunes now and are included on the Susan G. Komen Foundation CD. You can find the Susan G. Komen coupon books in grocery stores, pharmacies and airports near you. With the coupon book you will recieve the Pink Playlist which should be located right inside the front cover. With the Pink Playlist you will get a series of codes for the songs and by typing the code in on iTunes you can purchase the song. There are a lot of great artists featured on here. Floyd Myles, Bobbie Eakes and Jeff Healey are only a few of the many! i hope you will check it out!
