artsy type stuff...getting messy, in the studio or the kitchen...super neat people freak me out...i enjoy becoming fascinated by things...i like to study stuff i don't know about...i like people for the most part...especially people who make me laugh (with or at them, for some reason i like both)...oh yeah, i like laughing...i would sit and listen to the ocean all day, every day if i could, and sell painted coconuts for a living...coconuts are probably one of my favorite things in general...being a mom is the most beautiful and important thing i'll ever do...i really like blankets...and i like to be outside...and i get bored easily with routine...and i love breakfast...
Music
can't imagine life without it. and i'll pretty much listen to anything. don't particularly like noise for the sake of noise though. joni mitchell is a hero, so are liz phair, aretha franklin, and gillian welch. i love beautifully written lyrics and appreciate good guitar licks as well as a soulful blues guitar. love to dance to funk, soul and hiphop. like downtempo, love old school metal, i still like grunge, enjoy experimental music, jazz, classical and folk. i'm also into raggae, jam bands, classic rock and neo-soul. i like brazilian beats and world music. i like listening to djs smash it all together and i like a bit of electronica every once in a while.
Movies
i like funny movies, artsy movies, foreign flicks. but nothing beats the best worst movie ever made: point break. i also like tim burton flicks. some of my other fave movies are casablanca, it's a wonderful life, wizard of oz, charlotte's web (the old one), finding neverland, casino, and the last waltz.
Television
i'd rather be in the yard or creating. but i do watch the following programs if i'm around: jeopardy, top chef, brothers and sisters, the big bang theory and how i met your mother. i'll indulge and watch desperate housewives and grays anatomy sometimes too.
Books
love books. also love magazines, read lots of design mags. i dig crossword puzzles. and manuals for some reason. with diagrams. right now i'm reading a frida kahlo bio, the meaningful life by the dalai lama, and nightly children's books with leif
