If you ask 17 year old country singer/songwriter Ashley Allyson what makes Country Music so special, you’ll get an answer that’s simple and sincere, she’ll say ”The People”. At 13, when Ashley walked out of her first song pitch meeting at a prominent Nashville Publishers office, her life took a turn. After choosing some songs penned by some of Nashville’s most successful writer’s, her new journey had begun. Now, as a songwriter herself, she’s raising the bar and making her goals as an artist even more interesting. Some years of hard but rewarding work later has brought her to a CD release and tour. What’s the real reward? Ashley will tell you that in her experience at least, “the most important element of Country Music is the people. We are for the most part a bunch of good, kind souls.” Included in that group are the host’s of DJ’s, Program Directors, Writer’s, Musicians, Producer’s, and other artists in the industry that she’s gotten to know. If there is a common thread that holds Country Music lovers together in the United States & worldwide, she’ll tell you “it’s the love of a good story, good music and a basic instinct to be respectful to others.” Starting a military foundation (www.acalltoarmsoflove.org) when she was 15 has opened Ashley’s eyes and heart to the needs of hurting people everywhere. While she helps in every way she can, she knows that through her music she provides a distraction to some of that. People from all over the world are in touch with her daily, likely drawn to her beauty inside and out, requesting her songs. The single “All Kinds of Beautiful” is our first glimpse at who Ashley Allyson is, and what she wants to say to us. In her follow up singles, the message will remain clear. Holding true to what she affectionately refers to as “The 3 F’s of Country Music; Love of Freedom, Love of Family, and the Love of FUN. Yes, Country Music Fans know how to congregate and have a good time. She’s all over that too! Cali born, Michigan raised, now cohabitating in Nashville, she and her band mates are excited about the forthcoming events in their musical careers. To get to this point though, Ashley left high school and got her diploma on line a year early. With enough of the drama that goes with public school under her belt, she felt it was the right decision for her. Ironically, a college writing course she completed when she was 16 helped her develop her love for word styling and developing a good storyline. “The stories that I’m telling in the songs that I’m singing right now, for the most part have pretty positive or upbeat messages”. Knowing that everybody has something they could be PO’d about, especially right now…she like’s stressing the beauty and positive side’s of life, even if there is plenty of pain and stumbling along the way. .. .. Ashh started a foundation called acalltoarmsoflove.org to bring awareness to the young, and not as young...to the needs of our Military members now and as they return to the United States. As Ashh builds her friends and fans in the United States and around the world, like any gifted artist should- she wants to make a difference and bring some joy.
