Move over Old Divas... there's a new queen on this side of pathmark and her name be Ashley; Ashley Breathe. Holding On To The Myspace Top 100 Electro Artist At 1 there seems to be no stopping this 18-year-old diva. Unsurpassable ambition, undeniable talent and catchy, innovative, well produced pop songs are what has made Ashley Breathe what her fans have come to adore- the reigning queen of pop. She's addictive.
Ashley hails from Staten Island, where she grew up feeling isolated and different- feeling something must be wrong. Unfortunately she was right- no one there appreciated her the way they should so she turned to writing songs about a life she longed for, songs about love and positivity- trying to help make the world a better place one sexually charged lyric at a time.
Ashley wrote these songs to transport her mind to places where she was accepted, and appreciated not only as a pop artist, but also as a drag artist. Her arsenal of songs grew, but little did she know someone was leaking her songs to the internet under the guise of other artists new releases. This embittered a lot of people in certain parts of the internet because they thought that Ashley herself had leaked the songs to gain exposure. The identity of the actual leaker remains an unsolved mystery to this day- and is still a sore topic for Ashley, In 2005 2 Ashley Tracks Were Though To Have Been Madonna Tracks, And In 2006 And 2007 Severl Tracks Were Thought To Have Been Britney Spears.
Despite the bitter queens on certain forums, websites, Ashley pressed on- creating her music like only she knew how and found inspiration in all the adversity she had faced throughout her years.
'Bitter Queen' was Ashley's first song, inspired by people on the internet who bashed her- and by former lovers who were firmly in the closet and unwilling to admit their sexuality to even themselves, regardless of their actions. Ashley had enough of the haters, liars, cheaters and love rats, she wanted to express herself once and for all on these matters, and so piled her anger and creativity into the opus which launched her career. The rest, as they say, is history.
Throughout her career she has pushed buttons, roused controversy wherever she goes, shocked, amazed and delighted people the world over. Sometimes a diva, always sexual- she's never been afraid to show the world exactly what she's working with. She's not only an artist, she's a revolutionary who pushes barriers with her words and her actions, paving the way for future performers and drag performers alike.
