We'll call this bio-in-progress...I'll progressively add more as I think of more interesting things to tell you. Music...my passion, my life. There's not one thing that I love more or never grow tired of. I could never picture myself doing anything else with my life because everything else has always gotten old, but music never fails. It's the constant discovering of melodies and words that make it so fresh and the constant discovering of myself that it brings. Music has always been a part of my life. Every home video as a kid has me either singing the Little Mermaid's "Part of Your World" or some Amy Grant song (yikes I know) with my brother always in the corner screaming for me to stop. I always said I wanted to be a singer. When I was 14 I was hunting through the closet and found my dad's guitar with this huge stack of books. I started learning a few chords and was confident I could write songs with the chords A, G, D. Over the next year I continued to teach myself guitar and then started writing more. It wasn't until I first wrote a song for a friend who was dying that it struck me just how much music meant to me and how much it was a part of me. From then on I poured myself into writing, sometimes a lot, sometimes months would go by without anything. I flew to a competition in Colorado when I was 15 and was offered a contract to record an EP, however at the time I was getting ready to start taking college courses and my parents felt it was important that I focus on school...so blah blah blah, music went on the back burner while I was in school for a couple years and then through a series of events I decided to start pursuing music again. So to make this long story short, through much support and pushing from friends and the drive inside, I've dove head first into a career of music. Last summer I did a few concerts and then currently am booking concerts in Washington, Portland, and Vancouver Canada.
Congrats Mrs. Yousling. Awesome wedding, you'll have to check out my pics, I've got an album from our trip out there. Let me know if you want any copies of them and what you think of my photgraphy skills.
THAT IS SOOOO EXCITING! I am so happy for you Ashley :)That is really romantic as well...on the ice rink...dang...looks like you picked a good one! Merry Christmas!!!
Hey Girlie! I'm so glad to see that you are pursuing music, I have no doubt that the Lord will bless your pursuit and use you in ways yet unimaginable. Let me know what you're upto when you have a moment! I am entering into my first series of law school exams...yikes!
Hey Ash-
Just wondering what you're up to?!? I'm now living in Kentucky! Crazy huh? Hey I heard that something big might be happening in your life next summer and stuff! But hey I'd like to hear from ya! Love ya!
Crystal
May the Grace of God be with you
In all you try to do.
May God’s Spirit be ever present
And may your heart be ever true.
May His blessings over take you
In an awesome way.
May you always remember
To seek the Lord and pray.
May you never think too highly,
Taking pride within yourself;
So you may always then exalt Him;
And find spiritual wealth.
May the Love of God find a place
Deep within your heart;
And fill you with compassion;
While meet other’s needs you start.
May you live in great expectancy
Of the things that God will do.
May your faith be ever growing,
And God’s presence ever new.

Ashley, it was really great to see you at Upfest. Thank you for talking to me and being a great listener. It's to bad that your b.f. wasn't there. You, him, me, and my g.f. should get together and do something together sometime what do you think?
Ashley, I just want to tell you that not only are you an amazing singer and beautiful girl, you also have the most amazing heart. How are you doing? are you going to school? I love your songs, one of them made me cry :) Have a good day, kristin
