Southern rock artist Ashley Rivera has been performing throughout the southeast for over ten years, with an impressive list of credits to her name. Ashley was recently named Vocalist of the Year by the North American Country Music Association International, chosen from performers in all fifty states, Canada, and New Zealand. Ashley has also been awarded the title of Georgia’s Entertainer of the Year 2007, 2008, and 2009 by the Georgia Country and Gospel Music Association.
At age eleven, she was the only country artist ever to win 1st place in Radio Disney’s Showbiz Kids Singer Showcase. Since then, Ashley has performed in countless venues, with and for such organizations as: The Georgia Country Music Association, Centennial Olympic Park, HiFi Buys Amphitheater, atlantacountrymusic.com, Country Tonight Theater, Six Flags Over Georgia, Relay For Life, and many more. She has been featured in T.V. performances and interviews such as Music City Explosion, Nashville OnStage, and CBS News Live. She has also opened in concert for Ronnie Milsap, The Average White Band, Aaron Carter, Raven Symone, Jump 5, and others.
Ashley’s live band, BlackJack Ketchum, is comprised of talented musicians from all over the country- their upbeat instrumentals against Ashley’s powerful vocals and stage entertainment can engage any audience and get them moving. Known most for audience-involved, exciting live performances, Ashley Rivera and BlackJack Ketchum are currently booking for performances and appearances through 2010.

Can I show you something perhaps you’ve never seen? Can I show you beautiful beyond your wildest dreams? There is a place not far from here, a place I love to go. If you’ll allow me, close your eyes, and this place I will show. There is a quiet heartbeat in rhythm with the snow, gently beating just for you I want you to know. There is a simple tear drop that falls with the rain and in this simple teardrop washes away all your pain. And then there is that light of the eye shinning like the sun, warm embrace, a touch of grace as we take off in a run. Now dancing in the spring just like the seasons before, we love, we laugh, we hug and fall, and then we laugh some more.

Good time to reflect and give thanks for all the little things. One of the most overlooked thing about the holidays is just being able to lay on the floor with your dog and your family by the fire. Or a palm tree. =o)
2009 has been one of the roughest years of my life after losing my dad. It was nice to meet you this year and great to see you perform. Somehwere in the twilight is always a little sunshine like you.

I found a thought among the thorns where lonely feelings lay. I found a thought among the thorns and carefully considered its weight. Beautiful beyond understanding, painting pictures from words I could not say. Precious beyond comprehension took hold of my heart that day. And when it wrapped itself around my soul I found this thought to be the most cherished one of them all, I wanted the world to see. For love cannot be put in a box, or labeled by our hands. Love is the thought of knowing you’re there when lonely feelings land.
