What influenced me to go into buisness for myself? Wasthe fact of how hard I worked for other people and corporations. They recieved all the benefits of my hard work. I worked my a-- off and got tired of watching the rich get richer and felt that my hard work and dedication was part of the reason why they were getting richer. So I decided if I can work that hard for someone else why not for myself.
So now I own my own little Coffee Cottage and I love it. Yes it gets overwhelming sometimes. But its mine all mine, and I get to watch it grow from a little cherry into a full cherry blossom. How very nice is that!

Why A Shot of Java?:
We are not a chain. We are privately owned, which means we are here because we have a personal interest and appreciation for the drinks and food we serve.
The art, poetry books,CD's, and other knickknacks that you see in here are from some customers, friends and family. These things make it feel more like a 'home away from home' for all of us. The conversations, games, musicians, poets and general entertainment that go on here are precisely why we are here - for you. We also have free Wi-Fi for our customers only with plenty of outlets for each and every one of you.
We buy fair trade and local products so that the farmers and merchants get their due - not what is left over after big corporations and middle-men take their shares. In return, we get natural, better products and get the quality that will never come from some corporation's processing factory.
Thank YOU for sharing our passion. We hope that you are having a pleasurable experience here with us and that you continue you continue to be part of this wonderful dream of ours that is A Shot of Java!
In addition to our love for coffee and the people, we serve only Organic and Fair Trade Coffee. I believe in helping the farmers earn a better wage and their children can receive a good education through Fair Trade. Fair Trade is environment friendly. There are no chemicals used on the crops, also it is shade grown coffee. Your Barista will make your drink when ordered, we brew our Iced tea fresh for each customer. Our Hot Chocolate is made with real milk, no powder mixes. We use real chocolate syrup so you get a great tasting cup of hot chocolate. We also drip each cup of coffee to order so it is the freshest and best tasting cup of coffee you can get . We are also known for our Frappes a refreshing blended iced drinks available in assorted flavors, our Signature Frappe is Cocamochanut, truly a crowd pleaser, come in and try one.

This is a wonderful product. Organic, fair wage, and environmentally friendly. Also there is a charity aim to the company as well. So, a wonderful coffee for a great cause and a great way to remember Bob Marley, who brought so much positivity to this planet.
