A story of a man. A man with a vision. A man and a band seperated by the fact that they just didnt know each other. But all that was about to change. This, my friends, is the story of ASHRAM!!!
Prayer Solanky grew up in the small town of Campbell Hall, NY. After majoring in Physics, at Susquehana University in PA, Prayer moved back to his hometown and began his quest to form a really freakin awesome worship band.
Meanwhile, not to far away in the town of Poughkeepsie, a band existed. But with little knowledge of this man we call Prayer and the fact that they already had a frontman, it seemed like their paths would never cross.
Prayer, now married, not feeling the groove of his current band decides to pray and search for guidance. And BEHOLD! While at one of his yearly retreats, Prayer discovers the then unknown David Crowder Band. And there was much rejoicing. Over the course of the next few years, Prayer had the opportunity to converse with many of todays top worship leaders. With new inspiration and much excitement Prayer waited for God to move.
Meanwhile, back in Poughkeepsie, "the band" had become leaderless. Where will they turn? Who shall lead them into teritorries unknown? They turn to the fearless one now with one of the rare Tom Anderson Crowdster guitars. Now, as Ashram, which means "place of spiritual retreat", they are ONE! Ready to counquer the world and show it what real worship is all about!
