IF YOU WANT TO DISPLAY SITE BANNER ON YOUR PROFILE, USE THE FOLLOWING CODE:

Ash Road are a hard rock band rapidly emerging from the depths of the Auckland underground scene. Enthralling their loyal fans with brutal riffs and soulful melodies, they certainly know how to rock. And rock they do. With a unique, cutting edge sound, this five piece has been tearing down Auckland venues with a brutal live show guaranteed to astound! Returning to their heavy roots, Ash Road are captivating their loyal followers and rapidly claiming new fans in the New Zealand rock sphere.

The Ash Road fire was sparked back in the 90's when Jamie, Pod, and Kyle united their musical intellects and formed the predecessor to the Ash Road empire. With a mixture of time and new talent the band evolved, gaining unstoppable momentum with the addition of Rob on vocals in late 2005.

The band was soon snapped up by Auckland indie label Clockwork Records and have been writing, gigging and recording with reckless determination. Ripping through iconic Auckland venues like the King's Arms, Hysteria, and the Studio, Ash Road have been pushing new boundaries with their sound and live gigs.

Coalescing raw talent with passion and musical expertise, Ash Road has an exhilarating future ahead. With a sound that separates itself from current trends, they create an atmosphere of energetic, "fist pumping" exhilaration, complemented by carefully crafted guitar and vocal melodies. Funky bass lines caress the stadium sized riffs, creating an unpretentious raw feel that has sparked such a following by fans and musical colleagues alike.

The fun the band has on stage is blatantly obvious to the audience, and a combination of snakeskin boots, stepping through holes, and vocal ad-libs, make for an undeniably feel-good rock experience.

The band members each bring something unique to the Ash Road sound, and these musical attributes combine to form a solid foundation continuously pushing new frontiers.

Items in Ash Road's repertoire stretch from the powerful guitar-driven 'Waste Away' with an unmatchable epic quality, and the brilliantly crafted dynamics of "Understand", to the 'grand' sounding rock ballad "Lost My Breath". With so many stand-out songs in one show, the anticipation of the upcoming album and NZ/Australia tour in 2007 is immense.

The promising future of Ash Road is confirmed by their escalating internet presence, and is driven by the band member's undeniable passion for the music they play, and their desire to take on the world with their exploding sound.

Ash Road – WHOA YEAH!!
