Ashtray Art is an indie alternative hard rock outfit based in Tampa Bay Florida. It is the brain child of Jay T. Bailey and Keith Hancock. Conceived while Jay was on sabbatical in Alabama, in 2008, to escape the absurdity of a life gone insanely haywire, Ashtray Art was created to be a powerful mix of crunchy, guitar oriented, rock music and powerful, meaningful lyricism. Over the last year and a half we set about the task of writing, performing, recording and producing the record that will be available in early January on iTunes Worldwide, Amazonmp3, Rhapsody, Napster and eMusic. Physical CDs will also be available at that time at Sound Exchange Stores in the Tampa Bay area and through our website www.ashtrayart.com Ashtray Art's unique sound has been described as haunting and powerful. We have developed an international following with our song The Speed of Dark which is featured on internet radio.
