in 1981, 357 landed on earth with little memory of where she came from or why she was here. in 2008, she accidentally discovered ableton live while after installing an additional cd that came with the protools software on her mac. from this point on, life hasn't been the same...

asia aka asialakay aka dj th secret aka dirty soundgirl aka agenda357 bka asia grady was born in boston in 1981, she's a first generation trinidadian american from a family of musicians, revolutionaries, and entrepreneurs.
her influences are her father for being the best dad he could be despite spending almost 20 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, family members including grandfather denzil botus of the gay desperados and later the despers, her grandmothers mabel, kathleen, and gloria for working together to take care of her. aunt sista d of dis n dat band for teaching her about great musicianship, showmanship, and perseverance, little sisters alaysia and khalima plus brother denzil for introducing me to midi and web design and inspiring me everyday to be better, and cousins charleston sargeant, kiki, tiara, dilly, stacy, simone, jem, jael, teresa, lisa, dennis, carleton, guillaume, john, justin, little gloria, and her first nephew marley, because of their creativity, positivity, and friendship throughout her life. other artists that had a lasting impact on asia's persona and musical style, include josephine baker, billie holliday, chaka khan, ella fitzgerald, nina simone, shirley bassey, lauryn hill, thelonius monk, public enemy, rza, guru, daft punk, roni size, propellerheads, outkast, beck, m.i.a., dj qbert, dj spooky, sistine criminals, sts9, hot chip, and squarepusher.
