the soundtrack to a great womanizer's life... after his prime.
Welcome ladies and gentlemen, young and old, the meek and the strong, the huddled masses, to Asian Ben's Music page! Oo lala!
My name is actually Ben Uytiepo. Give that last name a try. If you pronounced it like OOee-Tye-po You'd be wrong! it's Oy-CHE-Po! I mean you might get it now.. but that's why I call myself Asian Ben. It's Just easier that way. And no I'm not doing the whole middle name/last name thing. My middle name is Eric. And I already know a Jeneric and they're pretty good... but i don't want to be too close to their name!
Anyways, sooo about me!
I've been playing guitar since the 2nd grade. But I stopped for awhile so forgot almost all of my training (like my ability to read music) But in the past few years I've picked it back up and have worked hard to get where I am now with it.
I was singing before I could talk. I still sing now, but I'm not as cute as I used to be.
I've played in bands like The Nightlife, and The Ben Tyler Band (I'm not Ben Tyler... which is anther reason for Asian Ben I always get into bands where there's another Ben!), and more recently an A Capella group The Earthtones. So I've definitely done my share of gigs, touring, booking, and the like.
No one really likes me anymore which is why I'm doing the solo deal.
Stick around. Come see me at stuff. I'll definitely will be playing out a lot more in the coming months!

well its not weird that you played them, but it is weird that you chose to play them at a coffee shop as your first time proforming to a crowd. hahaha because its a little, for lack of a better word, provocative.
i think that its a great choice of song to break the akwardness between a crowd and proformer though.
Hey! So yeah, I love you music. Wine talking is my favorite song, its pretty addictive. Thanks for putting me and Theresa in your blog, it made me smile:). I guess i'll have to start attending more open mic's.
