Alpha Sigma

About me:

Alpha Sigma Sorority is a regional sorority. The Delta Chapter is at St. Francis College in Brooklyn. We just recieved our charter there, so this chapter is brand new, but the sorority itself will hit 16 years this February of 2008. Alpha Sigma is a VERY diverse sorority, diversity is something that were known for. We have sisters from all different backgrounds, ethnicities, religions, and creeds. Although were all very different from each other, we have one very important thing in common, and thats our love for each other and our sorority.

Alpha Sigma is also known for throwing awesome parties. We love to have fun, whether it be at a party, or just hanging out, shopping, out to eat, the movies, anywhere, as long as were together, were having fun. We love having mixers with other fraterities and were also big supporters of other greeks, at the schools were located at, and other schools as well. But no, we're not just about partying. Our main philanthropy is for Breast Cancer, but we also support other philanthropies, such as Liver Disease, Domestic Violence, MS and AIDS. We participate in events such as the Making Strides walk for Breast Cancer, and Relay for Life, and have fund-raising events of our own. Our philanthropies are a very big deal to us, and were working on making them even bigger.
The sisters of Alpha Sigma have worked hard to expand our sorority and get where we are and we are extremely proud of ourselves. We take pride in our letters and our traditions, and in each other. It doesnt matter how different we all are from each other because in the end, we come together, with the same letters on our chest and work hard to take our sisterhood forward and to new places. We love meeting new people! Were always looking forward to it, and youre always bound to get along with someone!
