Bio
Aunt Rubys Sweet Jazz Babies is an Austin, Texas based collection of talent and artistry that seeks to embody, in todays terms, the very essence of the hot jazz and swing music prevalent from the 1910-1940s. Each Aunt Rubys Sweet Jazz Babies performance is a family oriented event filled with dancing, romance, educated humor, and cosmopolitan sophistication. The Babies are not a retrospective, sentimental group that longs for days gone by. Aunt Rubys Sweet Jazz Babies is a spontaneous and passionate band that celebrates the shear joy and treasures of living through song for the enjoyment of everyone. .. .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .......... | ..View.. | ..Add Favorite.. .. .. Influences
The Babies are influenced by all their worldly adventures and experiences, ranging from World War espionage to back porch jams with the Big Jug Band. They have spent time exploring the heights and the depths of the planet and spent time teaching some of the greats during their tenures at lofty conservatories and theatres like Carnegie Hall. The Babies draw on these life experiences and combine them with everything occuring around them at the time they are making beautiful music to deliver the highest quality entertainment and finest musical performances. -
