Take You Higher is
An eight-piece band assembled for their love of the multi-cultural
message and homegrown rock/pop/funk that is undeniably Sly and The
Family Stone. Good times are accompanied by solid harmonies, fat horns
and a tight rhythm section that wont allow you to just sit down and
take it. At a time when a message of hope and empowerment is needed
Take You Higher delivers through the music of Sly Stone. Its one big
Party and everyones invited.
Members of Take You Higher hooked up with The Original Family Stone recently in New England. We met and bonded with trumpeter Cynthia Robinson, saxophonist Jerry "Papa J" Martini and keyboardist, singer Rose Stone, who is Sly Stone's sister!
They said they were very proud of the work we are doing and to keep it going! Jerry said we were officially in "The Family"!
