That’s my motivation to get out there and do what I love” says Asoka, the young man whom Rolling Stone magazine calls “Impressive” and rightfully so… At the current age of 23, Asoka is arguably one of the only unsigned rappers to have been featured in the pages of Blender and Rolling Stone magazines. Within days of its release Asoka’s latest street album, The Underground Artist, was featured on WWE.com. However, making noise is nothing new to Asoka; within his short time in the industry he has built quite a resume. Already having worked with world renowned names such as: 50 Cent, Eminem & Dr. Dre’s protégé Stat Quo, Juelz Santana, 2Pac & The Outlawz, amongst many others including a small role in a movie starring Rob Schneider, Asoka is just getting started. The Detroit based rapper reflects on his childhood, “I spent a major part of my childhood living in LA. Detroit is alright, but it’s just not the spot for me. I miss LA.” Born in India, Asoka moved to Los Angeles at a very young age. “I still have friends out there, I get nothing but love.” Asoka continues to write and record daily. “Making music has just become a part of my life now. I can’t imagine not doing it. It’s an extension of me, of who I am.” At such a young age Asoka seems well on his way to the world of success, riches and dreams that only a few dare to reach for.
