A Sordid Story rose from the ashes of old school death metal to form a band conscious of both musical technicality and melodic song. Calling themselves MindSolFuture they hammered out their chops making an impact in the death metal scene in the mid to late 90's in Cincinnati,Ohio. After meeting singer/songwriter Aaron Cason in 2002,they joined forces & shifted musical directions & formed A Sordid Story. The music draws its power from the strong rhythm section laid down by drummer Kevin Kurz's use of polyrhythms & beafy attack,& the inovative effects ladden bass playing of Izzy Newberry.The songs are often structured around Cason's percusive,droney acoustic guitar rhythms,while also layered with heavy electrics & often feature gymnastic like solos from lead guitarist Steve Young. Cason solely provides the vocals & intertwines his lyrics inside soaring melodies centered around dark subject matter such as addiction,sex,loss,spirituality & death. Their influences span a wide range from 70's prog such as Frank Zappa,Pink Floyd,& King Crimson to more modern 90's heavy rock acts such as A Perfect Circle,Soundgarden & Tool.In early 2007 they teamed up with Legendary Engineer/Producer Erwin Mupser & he helped them mixed & master their 1st album "Darkest Deep".The album is a very clear representation of a band that's interested in writing technically solid music while still connecting to the mind & heart of the listener."Darkest Deep" is sure to turn some heads & win over the hardest critics.A Sordid Story is a truely original lineup of musicians with the desire to create something far beyond the now typical radio rock of post-grunge & contrived bands that now dominate the music industry."Darkest Deep" just may be the 1st step to their own musical escape-

Independent filmmaker releasing BLANK worldwide on 3.21.09
The film will be released on DVD for sale worldwide, in a variety of Independent Video Stores, Amazon, Various online stores, streaming online, and on all torrent sites to insure everyone the opportunity to enjoy the film.
The concept behind the torrent sites is that people will watch the movie and if they like the film that they will go to a designated website or the official myspace website and donate or pay what they thought the film was worth to them.
