About me: A-Squared Theatre Workshop is a Chicago based collective that creates an artistic environment of risk taking and growth for Asian American theater artists by dynamically bringing Asian American stories to the stage for general theater-going audiences. A-Squared is a 501c3, non-profit organization.
In 2007, A-Squared Theater Workshop performed several staged readings of plays written by or about Asians and Asian Americans. Check out some of the fliers and pictures from these reading in the photo section of this MySpace page. “Trial By Water” was our debut stage production.
Our most recent production, "The Wind Cries Mary" by Philip Kan Gotanda, closed on August 24, 2008. Thanks to all who came out to support us!

"I think I have just seen the future of American Theatre.” —Michael Bourne, Circle Repertory Company
“Spiritually barren lives given meaning by fundamentalist religion. Comfortable lifestyles devoid of passion. And the finality of the gun. All reflect what happened to American values . . . and they form the subject of Edward Crosby Wells’ challenging new play, Flowers out of Season . . . one of the best things this innovative theater has done.” —Jeff Bradley, Denver Post
*This play contains violence, sexual themes and language. There are also gunshot sound effects.
