About me: Assassin's Creed is a title that was developed by Ubisoft for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. The game features beautiful graphics, dynamic crowds that can help or hinder you, and an intuitive battle system wherein fights are realistically played out and battles are won with perfectly timed parries instead of randomly placed attacks.
The game takes place in 1191 AD, during the Third Crusade. You play as Altaïr, an assassin that has been disgraced and must redeem himself in the eyes of the Assassins Guild. The plot is much thicker than that, but to say and more would spoil the game.

The developers of Assassin's Creed have decided to make a F.A.Q.
What are the flags for? The flags are a way of rewarding players who enjoy leaving no stone unturned, no nook or cranny unexplored. They’re a way of thanking the player who goes through the effort of finding all the neat little spots that have been hidden in the game world.
Is there a different ending if I have more/all flags? No, the number of flags you collect doesn’t change the way the story ends. Flags are not related to the story so it would not make sense. While we understand gamers like to have multi-ending that would not have make sense for a game like Assassin’s Creed. The main plot and story arc have been crafted to unveil a particular story therefore elements related to the unveiling of the main plot, like key assassinations can not change otherwise the story would not unfold. That said, you are free to roam the countryside, explore cities, and participate in side quests and missions to help the population or complete main assassination missions. All of these objectives can be accomplished in a variety of ways and in the order that suits your mood.
Why is the ending so “incomplete”? That’s a question of interpretation; did you check all the symbols? Did you find out what they mean? If not that part should entertain you once you are done with the game and it gives you some hints about what’s coming next. For now, we would rather not give any hints and let you think about it a bit more.
Will there be a solution book? Prima Guide worked on a solution guide including tours of each city, detailed target walkthroughs; labeled maps detail flags, targets, side quests and Templar locations.

Assassin’s Creed: Altaïr’s Chronicles has been released!
Assassin’s Creed: Altaïr’s Chronicles is the direct prequel to Assassin’s Creed, where players discover more about the protagonist Altaïr and his deep history. The game features a fully realized 3D world in which players travel and battle through four cities of the Crusade’s Middle East, using acrobatic moves and exhilarating combo attacks that mix sword skills and high-flying kicks.

Assassin's Creed: Directors Cut is to be released on April 9th!
Basically the same game you all know and love, but with improved graphical capabilities and a few new features.
Charles Beauchemin gave the low-down on the new features in an interview with IGN.
Assassin's Creed: Directors Cut will include "...4 new investigation missions: archer assassination, rooftop race challenge, merchant stand destruction challenge and escort challenge. The archer assassination requires the player to assassinate the archers in a dedicated zone without being seen. In the rooftop race challenge, the player will meet an informer and will have a set amount of time to reach a second informer. In the merchant stand destruction, some merchants have ties to the assassination target and their activities must be stopped by Altaïr. Finally, in the escort challenge, the player needs to securely escort a fellow Assassin from point A to point B."

Awwww...I was so looking forward seeing something exciting if Altair collected all the flags. Thanks for letting me know though....Can't wait for Assassins Creed 2 to come out!
OMG! My son and I finished playing Assassins Creed in 3 days (i.e. total hours worth). It was FANTASTIC!!! Going to play the game again when we get the cheat book. I'm sure we missed loads of stuff (for example, we didn't get all the "flags"...wonder what happens to Altair if we got all the flags...).
