Following departure of Mike Tuppen, our drummer, we have decided to call it a day with Assassins - with regret. We are all deeply involved in other projects and, with Hawkwind still touring, Starfighters reformed, and Space Ritual, Hawklords, and Hoaxwind and Morkwind (!!) all playing, there is a saturaion in the market which simply wasn't there in 2002, when we began. Paying gigs are few and far between and all remaining dates have had to be cancelled. We are very sorry.
Mike still plays with 'Hope and Glory', a midlands based Madness tribute, Chris Cox plays with his metal covers band 'Growler' and James, Kevin and Kit are all in Xoo - and James is also in Pre-Med. You can see us all around live sometime soon!
The band has been an important part of our lives for the last 7 years and gave many of us a way back into playing live music (resurrecting our lapsed music careers). It helped us through many hard times. We have been lucky enough to have played with Bridget Wishart, Harvey Bainbridge, Huw Lloyd Langton (often) and Steve Lichfield. We thank Dave Adams, Milo Walsh, our drummers Rob, Simon, Joe, Carl, and Mike, plus Ben Deschamps, Chris Crosskey, Guinevere Clarke, Kat, Jane, Jo A-C and Cliff, Paul Brookes and the wonderful Des McGovern for all the support and/or participation. Thanks to everyone for coming and listening to us, buying our three CD's (which got better every time!) and making us feel competent. Thanks too go to our fellow musicians, bands like Bedouin, Litmus, Dr Hasbeen, for playing with us, to Si Deards, Kozmik Ken, Terry Hawke, Kozmik Andy, for love and support in all its forms.
We won't miss you, as we will see you soon - just in another life ;-). But we will miss the music. We were pretty good, weren't we?
Love from the Assassins of Silence.
Over and Out...and clear space.

..........a vitality and creative spark crackling throughout this album……..This is definitely the finest thing the band have released, imaginative, crisp, free flowing and with a warm production, I heartily recommend it to all lovers of space/psychedelic rock music. “Sendelica stand out from the crowd. ..because they have great record titles and likewise great songtitles (“Manhole of the universe” or “Dark Disko”). But mostly because they play instrumental stoner rock without getting boring. Which in itself is a feat of epic notoriety. .... Sendelica offer a right nice banana split coup,...Hm, I am getting a special taste here. ........, I start to think about Black Sabbath and John Coltrane, because there is some of both in Sendelica. . http://www.monochrom.at/cracked/reviews/Rev%20sendelica.htm
"The band conjures a freewheeling psychedelic sound which is based on the typical power trio instrumentation of guitar, bass and drums, and then spice it up with a whole lot of electronics .. a psychedelic journey that starts out quietly enough, builds up momentum and erupts eventually into a kaleidoscopic crescendo.
