The unveiling and dedication ceremony was on Sept 26, 2008. Donors and VIPs attended.
The star was installed on Sept 29, in front of the Riviera, the closest casino to the Hilton, one street away.
Elvis joined other stars in the sidewalk such as: Liberace, Sammy Davis Jr, Bobby Darin, Trini Lopez & Wayne Newton.
About me: The "Viva Las Vegas !" Elvis Presley Club is the sponsor of ELVIS PRESLEY on the "Las Vegas Walk of Stars".
We launched our campaign on Feb 28, 2008, at the birthday party of our friend, Pete Vallee, star of the "Big Elvis Show" at Bill's Gambling Hall and Saloon. What a success!!! The campaign officially ended July 31st. WE THANK ALL OF OUR SUPPORTERS: FANS, FRIENDS OF ELVIS, and TRIBUTE ARTISTS.
Who I'd like to meet: We did it! $15,000 was raised in donations to fund the installation of the star and to honor Elvis on Las Vegas Blvd.
