Il 7 Gennaio al XRoads Live Club di Roma gli Astarte Syriaca presentano il loro secondo album: Sex - De Humana Natura. Sono sei i mali fondamentali che inquinano il mondo che ci circonda: criminalità minorile, traffico dei rifiuti, riciclaggio di denaro sporco, droga, sfruttamento della prostituzione, corruzione del potere politico.
Ma i brani di “Sex” si focalizzano su un’unica storia, dando vita a un concept album in grado di farci vedere come una sola azione negativa, apparentemente poco grave, possa, proprio come un tumore, avvelenare l’esistenza di un uomo ma anche la società in cui vive.
Da anni ormai gli Astarte Syriaca amano affidare il senso dei loro brani ad espressioni artistiche di vario genere: ricordiamo gli esperimenti riusciti come “Le stagioni di Astarte” o il “Jesus Christ Superstar”, in cui l’arrangiamento in chiave metal ha trovato una maggiore efficacia grazie all’introduzione di elementi teatrali all’interno dei concerti. Per la presentazione di “Sex – De Humana Natura”, gli Astarte Syriaca daranno vita a un vero e proprio show pluriartistico, dove cinema, viedoarte e musica si fondono in un unico grande evento. Lo show è realizzato in collaborazione con gli allievi attori della scuola del Teatro Stabile di Genova, protagonisti del cortometraggio ispirato al concept (che verrà proiettato durante la performance musicale) e grazie all’appoggio di numerosi enti pubblici e privati, principalmente della regione Liguria.

On January 7th at XRoads Live Club Astarte Syriaca will present their second LP: "Sex - de humana natura". There are six main crimes that degrade the world around us: child delinquency, laundering, drug, exploitation of prostitution, political corruption.
The songs from "Sex" are focused on a single story and they give life to a concept album by which we can see how a single bad action, just like a cancer, could poison the existence of a man and also the society in which he lives.
From several years Astarte Syriaca love to entrust the meaning of their songs to different kind of artistic expressions: we can remember experiments like "Le stagioni di Astarte" or "Jesus Christ Superstar" where the modern metal prog arrangement found more efficacy thanks to the introduction of theatrical elements inside the live shows. To present "Sex - de humana natura" Astarte Syriaca will give life to a full-blown multi-artistic show where cinema, video art and music are melted together in a single big event. The show is realized in collaboration with the actors and the actresses of the school of "Teatro Stabile di Genova" and they will play in a short movie that will be projected during the live show, this movie is inspired by the concept album "Sex - de humana natura"
