A Step Behind

Hailing from Pearland, Texas, A Step Behind has emerged as a rock band to be reckoned with. With a blend of energy, motivation, melody, and drive A Step Behind doles out catchy, sometimes emotional songs, that incorporate their life experiences, hopes, and even dreams which have tugged at the ears and souls of their many fans who relate to every verse.

Writing explosive songs, playing high-energy shows, and focusing on their fans have made A Step Behind a band to watch. Our focus is to energize the crowd with the energy that we feel every night on stage, says lead singer Matt Geronimo. The bands love of the crowd and their love of music takes a hold of everyone who sees them perform their music live.

During the last few years A Step Behind has been working hard to build a reputation for themselves by playing shows both locally and nationally, leaving an inevitable mark in every town and developing an ever-growing fan base.

A Step Behind's hard work and determination allowed them to finish 5th out of over 4,000 bands nationwide in the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands 8; an opportunity that allowed them to showcase their talents to a broader audience. A Step Behind was also the featured artist at 94.5 The Buzz which is Houstons largest alternative rock station earning them a coveted spot as one of Houstons premier punk bands. A Step Behinds debut album entitled, Since We Cant Have Forever was released in the Fall of 2004 on 99cent Records and recently(Dec. 06') in Japan on Little Rock Records and has been quickly gaining recognition due to the great response the album has received from listeners from all over the world selling more than 10,000 copies and counting.

A Step Behind continues to work hard and focus on their music and their fans creating a reputation that no one will ever forget.
